Weingut Höllerer is a seventh-generation family winery in Engabrunn, in the southern Kamptal of Niederösterreich, with roots dating to 1808. Its vineyards span diverse soils—including loess, gneiss and terrace gravel—and varied microclimates between the Kamp and Wagram. The estate avoids insecticides and herbicides, uses hand harvesting and whole-bunch pressing, and combines a traditional approach with gentle, modern cellar technology. White varieties account for roughly three-quarters of plantings, led by peppery Grüner Veltliner, with styles ranging from light and purist to full and expressive; Chardonnay, Riesling, Roter Veltliner, Welschriesling and Neuburger are also grown. Alois and Nicole Höllerer continue the family’s focus on site expression, producing still, rosé, red and sparkling wines.
