Producer

Vignerons de Buxy

France

Founded in 1931 in Buxy, Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, Vignerons de Buxy is a cooperative owned and governed collectively by its winegrower members. It brings together family estates across the region, producing appellations including Mercurey, Rully, Givry and Montagny, with a focus on expressing the diversity of local sites. Winemaking combines traditional Burgundian methods with modern facilities and is guided by oenologist Alain Pierre. The cooperative has a strong environmental commitment: its members participate in Vignerons Engagés, most vineyard surfaces are HVE-certified, and initiatives include biodiversity planting, connected weather stations, sustainable packaging and organic conversion. Limited-production cuvées are selected parcel by parcel, vinified and aged separately to highlight individual appellation character.
