Tenuta Olim Bauda

Italy

Tenuta Olim Bauda is a family-run estate in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, owned and operated by the Bertolino family. Siblings Dino, Diana and Gianni have managed the winery since 1998, with Dino overseeing the vineyards and cellar. The family’s winemaking history reaches back to 1927, while the Tenuta was acquired in 1961. Its organically farmed vineyards, certified organic since 2022, extend through the Monferrato hills, including historic plantings in the Nizza DOCG area. Sustainable practices include avoiding herbicides and generating part of the estate’s electricity through solar panels. Manual harvesting, small-vat fermentation and careful attention to individual crus support a traditional, terroir-focused style. The range centers on Barbera d’Asti and Nizza, alongside Nebbiolo, Grignolino, Freisa, Gavi, Moscato and sparkling wines.
