Tenuta di Arceno

Italy

Tenuta di Arceno is a historic Chianti Classico estate in San Gusmè, Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southern part of the appellation near Siena. Revitalized by Barbara Banke and her family of Jackson Family Wines, it combines deep local roots with a long-standing team that includes Pierre Seillan, Lawrence Cronin, Sandra Gonzi, and agronomist Michele Pezzicoli. The estate farms and bottles all its wines from its own vineyards, with Sangiovese leading the Chianti Classico wines alongside international varieties for its Toscana IGT bottlings. Its viticulture follows Seillan’s micro-cru philosophy, with vineyard blocks farmed, harvested, and vinified separately to capture differences in soil, exposure, altitude, and climate. The stated aim is to listen to the land and let each site express the character of Arceno.
