Producer

Van Zeller

Portugal

Van Zeller is a family-owned Port and Douro DOC producer whose Douro lineage dates to 1620. Cristiano Van Zeller, the 14th-generation leader, has been chief executive and winemaker since 1989 and regained ownership of the ancestral company in 2007. Today, the 14th and 15th generations, including Francisca and João, operate the estate. Its vineyards span the River Torto, Vale do Pinhão and Murça, where regenerative viticulture combines traditional and ancient methods to preserve soil balance. The estate focuses on limited, premium-quality Ports and handcrafted dry wines, reflecting a distinctly family-led and artisanal approach.
