Seven Terraces is a small, independently owned New Zealand producer based outside Christchurch, in the Marlborough and Canterbury wine context. Founded by Neil and Maria Empson, the winery works with experienced winemakers Brent and Shirley Rawstron and Alan McCorkindale. Its focused range includes Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, single-vineyard Canterbury Pinot Noir and Hawke’s Bay Oaked Chardonnay. The Teviotdale hills protect the winery, creating a microclimate with one of New Zealand’s longest growing seasons. The Rawstron family emphasizes long-term stewardship and preserving the land, and the winery is also identified as Sustainable Winegrowing NZ™ certified. The wines are presented as elegant and crafted, with McCorkindale bringing more than 40 years of international winemaking experience.
