Lafarge-Vial is a family-run Beaujolais estate founded in 2014 by Frédéric Lafarge and Chantal Vial. Based in Fleurie, Chiroubles, and Côte de Brouilly, the domaine farms steep, high-altitude granitic vineyards planted to old Gobelet-trained Gamay vines. Certified organic and biodynamic, they work without synthetic inputs, using horse plowing and hand harvesting on slopes too steep for mechanization. In the cellar, they bring Burgundian precision to Beaujolais through indigenous-yeast fermentations in concrete, partial whole-cluster inclusion, gentle extraction, and élevage in used oak barrels and foudres, with no new wood. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a clear focus on terroir expression.
