Producer

Domaine Philippe Naddef

France

Domaine Philippe Naddef is a family-owned estate in Fixin, Burgundy, founded in 1983 by Philippe and Anne-Marie Naddef and now managed by their son Michel. Working across roughly five hectares and more than 50 parcels in the northern Côte de Nuits, the family farms manually with careful attention to individual soils and exposures. Herbicides, insecticides and synthetic fertilizers have been eliminated, while cover cropping, ploughing and biocontrol support an ongoing transition toward organic farming, without certification. The domaine produces traditional Burgundian red wines from village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites, including Fixin, Marsannay, Gevrey-Chambertin and Mazis-Chambertin. Hand-harvesting, selective whole-bunch fermentation and barrel maturation yield structured, concentrated wines designed to age, while more recent vintages are also intended to be approachable in youth.
