Domaine Mérieau

France

Domaine Mérieau is a family-owned Loire Valley estate in the Cher valley, cultivated by the Mérieau family for several generations and led since 2000 by Jean-François Mérieau. Its Touraine vineyards are fully organically certified, with meticulous soil work designed to enhance soil life, severe pruning, and systematic hand-harvesting. Jean-François follows a low-intervention, non-interventionist cellar approach using indigenous yeasts, with élevage adapted to each cuvée. The estate’s clay-limestone soils and south/south-east exposure contribute to wines marked by minerality and tension. Emilie Mérieau oversees business development and wine tourism, extending the domaine’s family-led identity beyond the cellar.
