Domaine des Terres de Velle

France

Domaine des Terres de Velle is a family-run estate in Auxey-Duresses, Burgundy, founded in 2009 by Sophie and Fabrice Laronze. Working across the Côte de Beaune, the domaine seeks to express the character of each terroir through careful, non-interventionist winemaking. Its vineyards are managed according to organic and biodynamic principles, with living soils, mechanical tillage, no herbicides or insecticides, controlled yields, and hand harvesting based on grape maturity. Whites are whole-cluster pressed and fermented spontaneously in barrel, while reds are destemmed and aged in oak. Wines are bottled without filtration, reflecting the domaine’s emphasis on natural expression and long-term sustainability.
