Château Léoville Poyferré

France

Château Léoville Poyferré is a Second Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Julien, with origins dating to 1638 and the current estate formed in 1840. Owned by the Cuvelier family since 1920 and now managed by Sara Lecompte Cuvelier, it remains a family-led property rooted in the gravel terroirs of Saint-Julien. The estate emphasizes terroir, savoir-faire, and the work of its team, with Isabelle Davin leading winemaking and a long collaboration with Michel Rolland helping shape a style that combines elegance and modernity. Committed to environmental progress, it joined Bordeaux’s SME initiative in 2016 and has held HVE Level 3 certification since the 2017 vintage.
