Château La Nerthe

France

Château La Nerthe is one of the largest estates in the Southern Rhône, with about 92 hectares of vineyards across 57 plots on the La Crau plateau. Owned by the Richard family since 1985/86 and operated in partnership with négociants David & Foillard, it has been a pioneer of organic viticulture, holding Ecocert certification since 1998. The estate practices agro-ecology and minimal-intervention winemaking, favoring large wooden vessels. Winemaking has been led by several figures, including Alain Dugas, Christian Voeux, and, since 2015, Ralph Garcin.
