Ronco Calino is an independent, family-run estate in Franciacorta, Lombardy, founded by Paolo Radici and now operated by his daughter Lara with a small team. Its organically certified vineyards surround the winery across carefully studied parcels, with north-facing exposure and breezes from Lago d’Iseo supporting freshness and natural balance. The estate combines biodiversity projects, renewable energy, rainwater cooling and other measures intended to reduce its environmental impact. Franciacorta is made with meticulous parcel selection, gentle pressing, precise fermentation and extended lees aging beyond regulatory requirements. Low or no dosage, avoidance of malolactic fermentation and restrained sulphur use aim to preserve freshness, complexity and longevity. Ronco Calino also helps preserve Erbamat, an ancient native grape, and produces limited still wines and organic olive oil. Its underground cellar and hospitality spaces welcome visitors for tours and tastings.
