Roc de l'Abbaye

France

Roc de l'Abbaye is a family-run estate in Saint-Satur, Sancerre, owned by the Mollet family since 1850 and led by Florian Mollet since 2000. Working from vineyards at the foot of Clos du Roc, the domaine is notable for its flint-rich Silex terroirs in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Florian Mollet vinifies parcel by parcel in small tanks, with selected cuvées aged in 17th-century vaulted cellars, aiming for wines of minerality, finesse and power. The estate also uses the ancestral curetage method to preserve old vines and has earned two sustainability and ecosystem-preservation certifications. Its wines have received sommelier and press recognition, including for Sancerre bottlings noted for their strong mineral character.
