Louis Chenu Père & Filles

France

Louis Chenu Père & Filles is a family-owned estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Burgundy, with roots going back to the first vineyard purchases in 1914 and five generations of family involvement. Today it is run by sisters Juliette and Caroline Chenu, with Caroline leading the cellar and Juliette overseeing the business while also contributing to winemaking decisions. The estate is fully organically certified, with vineyards farmed organically since 2006. It focuses on Savigny-lès-Beaune, especially premier cru Pinot Noir sites, alongside Chardonnay and a rare village white that includes about 10% old Pinot Blanc, adding suppleness and balance. Vineyard work and harvest are done by hand, and the wines are made in a traditional style with natural fermentations, long élevage, and reds left unfiltered whenever possible.
