Les Bottes Rouges

France

Les Bottes Rouges is a small artisanal domaine in Jura, with vineyards in Arbois and Abergement. Founded by former teacher Jean-Baptiste Menigoz, it has operated in creative partnership with Florien Kleine Snuverink since 2014, with both serving as winemakers. The estate farms organically and also uses biodynamic treatments when needed. In the cellar, the approach is firmly low-intervention: native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and minimal sulphur. Chardonnay is grown on heavy clay soils, with harvest typically taking place at the end of September. The wines reflect a natural, hands-on philosophy and limited production.
