Producer

Jean Foillard

France

Jean Foillard is a family-owned Beaujolais domaine run by Jean and Agnès Foillard, who took over the family estate in 1980, with their son Alex now involved. A key figure in the “Gang of Four” natural wine movement, Foillard farms organically with biodynamic practices, avoiding synthetic herbicides and pesticides. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention: minimal sulfur, no filtration, whole-cluster fermentation, carbonic maceration, and élevage in neutral oak or concrete. The style is rooted in traditional, natural Beaujolais winemaking and a strong family continuity.
