Faber Vineyard

Australia

Founded in 1997 by John Griffiths and Jane Micallef, Faber Vineyard is a family-owned, boutique winery in Baskerville’s Swan Valley, Western Australia. The couple own and operate the vineyard and on-site winery, with John leading the winemaking. Faber’s name, Latin for “craft,” reflects its hands-on approach: vines are hand-pruned and hand-picked, with low-vigour growth and little or no irrigation. Traditional Swan Valley varieties—especially Shiraz, Verdelho and Brown Muscat—form the core of the range, alongside Chardonnay and Petit Verdot, with fortified Muscat a particular specialty. The wines are made in a rich, flavoursome, highly drinkable style, balancing fruit sweetness, structure and potential for bottle development.
