Producer

Eric Texier

France

Éric Texier is a family-run Rhône producer centered on Brézème and Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban, founded by former nuclear engineer Éric Texier and now carried forward with his son Martin. Deeply committed to these overlooked terroirs, the domaine farms organically and biodynamically, using conservation agriculture, permanent cover crops, no tillage, and avoiding animal compost, copper and sulfur. Fruit also comes from trusted organic growers for some cuvées. In the cellar, the approach is traditional and low-intervention: indigenous yeasts, whole-cluster fermentations, long élevage in concrete or large casks, no fining or filtration, and minimal, sometimes no, added sulfur. The wines are known for their marked sense of place and fruit-driven, free style.
