Domaine Saint Germain is a small, family-run estate in Savoie, centered in Saint-Pierre d’Albigny. Relaunched by Étienne Saint-Germain in the late 1990s and now overseen by Raphaël Saint-Germain, it practices certified organic, low-impact farming and hand-harvests traditional Alpine varieties with an emphasis on fruit purity. The name also appears on a Burgundy label produced by Christophe Ferrari and his wife Isabelle, who manage vineyards in Irancy and Chablis. This separate operation works with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and César, using traditional winemaking alongside modern hygiene. The two producers should therefore be distinguished: the Savoie domaine is the organic Saint-Germain family estate, while the Burgundy label is associated with the Ferrari family.
