Domaine des Hauts Châssis

France

Domaine des Hauts Châssis is a family estate in France’s Rhône Valley, taken over by Franck Faugier in 1998. Formerly part of the agricultural cooperative system, it became independent after Faugier built a winery in 2003 and produced and bottled the domaine’s first cuvée. Trained in oenology in Bordeaux, he oversees the winemaking and bottling, with Raphaël Faugier also involved. The estate farms mainly Syrah alongside white varieties, with additional holdings in Saint-Joseph and Saint-Péray; its Crozes-Hermitage parcel includes loess soils. Farming has been organic since 1998 and certified organic since 2017.
