Domaine Bott-Geyl

France

Family-owned in Beblenheim, Alsace, Domaine Bott-Geyl has been run by Jean-Christophe Bott since 1993, continuing a lineage that dates to 1795 and now involves the next generation. The estate has been organically certified since 2000 and farmed biodynamically since 2002, with hand harvesting, low yields, ploughing instead of herbicides, organic compost, and herbal tisanes. In the cellar, the approach is deliberately minimal: indigenous-yeast fermentations, no added enzymes, chaptalisation or fining, and élevage on fine lees with later release to show greater readiness. The focus throughout is precision, freshness, and clear expression of Alsace terroirs.
