Domaine Besson

France

Domaine Besson is a four-generation, family-owned estate in Chablis, founded in 1902 by Eugène Besson and now owned by his grandson Alain Besson, with winemaking led by Camille Besson. The domaine produces Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines, including two Grand Crus. Its approach combines reasoned, low-input viticulture, regular mechanical ploughing and minimal sprays, without formal sustainability certification. In the cellar, parcel-focused micro-vinifications and extended aging aim to preserve the purity and sensitivity of Chablis terroir. The family’s meticulous care extends through harvesting, bottling and labelling, all handled in-house to maintain quality and wine integrity.
