Côté Cairn is a collective of biodynamic winegrowers based in Die, in the Diois mountain vineyards at the southern foot of the Vercors. The group is recognised as a pioneer of organic farming in the Clairette de Die appellation and harvests by hand. Its vineyards reach up to 700 metres, where sunny summers and harsh winters shape the wines. Certified organic and biodynamic, Côté Cairn uses cover crops, green manures, mechanical weed control and agroforestry to support soil health and biodiversity, while avoiding chemical fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides. Renewable electricity, photovoltaic power, electric vehicles, composting and reduced tractor use further reflect its low-impact approach. The range includes Clairette de Die, Crémant de Die, Châtillon-en-Diois and Vin de France wines, including cuvées made without added sulphites during vinification.
