Clos Saouma

France

Clos Saouma is a family-run estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, owned and managed by husband-and-wife team Mounir and Rotem Saouma, who also operate Burgundy label Lucien Le Moine. Working across Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône Villages, they source almost all grapes from their own vineyards. The estate is notable for producing an unusually high proportion of white wine in a predominantly red-wine region. Mounir leads the winemaking, with Rotem closely involved. They focus on low-yield, quality-oriented viticulture, without formal sustainability certification, biodynamic practices, or alignment with the natural-wine movement; they also avoid zero-sulphur wines.
