Château Pontac-Lynch

France

Château Pontac-Lynch is a family-owned estate in Margaux, owned by the Bondon family since 1952 and now managed by fourth-generation proprietor Valentine Bondon. Its vineyards lie on the gravel soils typical of the Left Bank and are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Certified HVE 3 since 2013, the estate practices sustainable agriculture and is transitioning toward organic viticulture. Wines are made traditionally in 40-year-old concrete vats and aged for 12 months in French oak, including 40% new barrels. The estate produces AOC Margaux and Haut-Médoc wines.
