Château Mahon-Laville

France

Château Mahon-Laville is a very small-scale red wine from a 1.3-hectare parcel of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon within the family-owned Château Laville estate in Sauternes, Bordeaux. Professor of Oenology Jean-Christophe Barbe owns and operates the estate and serves as winemaker. Production is limited, with hand-picking, leaf-stripping, crop-thinning and low yields reflecting a careful approach to viticulture. The wine is marketed as Sustainable, Vegan and Vegetarian, although no formal organic or biodynamic certifications are reported.
