Champagne Rémi Leroy

France

Champagne Rémi Leroy is a family-owned estate in Meurville in the Côte des Bar, with vineyards in Meurville, Bergères and Fontaine in the Aube. Rémi Leroy personally oversees both the vineyard and cellar. The estate is certified organic and farms with low-input, biodiversity-friendly practices including cover crops, natural grassing and careful canopy management. On the Kimmeridgian and Portlandian clay-limestone soils, the vineyards are planted mainly to Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay and Meunier. Wines are vinified parcel by parcel, using stainless steel and used oak, with gravity handling, lees ageing, no fining or filtration, and very low dosage. The style is precise and low-intervention, with clear ageing potential.
