Begali Lorenzo

Italy

Begali is a family-run winery in Cengia, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica in San Pietro in Cariano, between Verona and Lake Garda. Founded toward the end of the Second World War by Giordano, it continued under Lorenzo and Adriana, who sold the first family bottles in 1986; their children Giordano and Tiliana now carry on the tradition. The winery farms about 12 hectares in the hills of Monte Ca’ Bianca, Matton and Monte Masua. Production is carefully managed from vineyard to cellar, with naturally dried grapes in a ventilated drying room. Begali focuses on continuous quality improvement and traditional family stewardship.
