Producer

Vini Scirto

Italy

Vini Scirto is a tiny family-run estate on Etna’s northern slopes in Sicily, farming approximately 2.5–4 hectares of vines alongside olives at 600–1,000 metres. Giuseppe Scirto and Valeria Franco operate the two-person farm, which was inherited from Giuseppe’s grandfather, and make the wines themselves as self-taught winemakers. Since their first vintage in 2012, they have produced only a handful of bottles each year. Viticulture is strictly organic and zero-chemistry, with all vineyard work carried out manually and without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
