Mt. Beautiful

New Zealand

Mt. Beautiful is a privately held, family-founded winery in North Canterbury, established by David and Leigh Teece on a site first planted in 2004. Its estate vineyards are divided into 23 blocks, reflecting varied soils, aspects, elevations, microclimates and carefully selected clones, with all grapes estate-grown. Surrounded by working sheep and beef farms, the property follows certified-sustainable and Carbon Zero practices. The range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling. Consulting winemaker Sam Weaver guides a restrained style focused on harmony, balance and clean wines with drive and length, expressing the distinctive character of this cool maritime corner of North Canterbury.
