Domaine Raquillet

France

Domaine François Raquillet is a long-established family estate in Mercurey, Burgundy, led by François Raquillet and his wife Emmanuelle since 1990, with their daughter Jeanne joining from the 2018 harvest. Rooted in a multi-generation line of vignerons, the domaine works Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Côte Chalonnaise, including Premier Cru sites. Vineyard work is careful and hands-on, with low yields, soil management, leaf-thinning, multiple passes through the vines and hand harvesting. The estate follows a sustainable approach and holds HVE certification since 2022, while also moving toward organic farming. In the cellar, François emphasizes meticulous sorting, destemming, pre-fermentation maceration and gentle extraction to produce precise, sincere red and white wines.
