Domaine des Notes Bleues

France

Domaine des Notes Bleues is a privately owned Jura estate founded in 2017 by owner-winemaker Cédric Mottet, based around Mesnay and Arbois. A former jazz musician, Mottet oversees the work from vineyard to cellar, focusing on site-specific wines from marl and limestone soils. The vines have been farmed organically since 2022, with hand harvesting, native yeasts, minimal sulfur, and biodynamic-inspired, low-intervention practices. Reds are aged in stainless steel, while whites spend extended time in used oak, keeping oak influence restrained. Founded from an initial plot purchased from Stéphane Tissot, the domaine remains family-run and deliberately focused rather than expanding.
