Producer

Cantina Zaccagnini

Italy

Founded in 1978 in Bolognano, in Abruzzo’s Casauria valley, Cantina Zaccagnini connects wine with the region’s history, traditions and artistic heritage. Its philosophy, “il Vino, arte dell’uomo,” is reflected in a permanent contemporary-art gallery and in labels inspired by the nearby Abbey of San Clemente a Casauria and the Chronicon Casauriense. The winery works with local varieties, especially Montepulciano, and highlights vineyards shaped by constant ventilation and marked day-night temperature differences. Integrated pest management and sustainable-viticulture guidelines are followed, alongside organic and other environmental certifications. Led by winemaker Federica Lauterio, the winery is now majority-owned by Argea Group, with the Zaccagnini family retaining a minority share.
