Pietraluce is a family-owned winery of the Savoldi family in Cazzago San Martino, at the heart of Lombardy’s Franciacorta. Its vineyards lie across several Franciacorta zones, on varied glacial and fluvio-glacial soils, and are farmed organically with a focus on Chardonnay. The family seeks to create a balanced ecosystem in each vineyard, reducing chemical use and soil tillage while minimizing human intervention. In the cellar, efficient technology—including a Willmes Sigma press and temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks—supports gentle handling and energy-conscious production. Chardonnay is central to the estate’s identity: its Franciacorta are made exclusively from the grape except for the Rosé, with low dosage and extended lees aging intended to preserve authenticity and expression.
