Kenefick Ranch is a family-operated estate in Calistoga, Napa Valley, founded by Dr. Tom Kenefick and now led by his children Chris and Caitlin. Its contiguous vineyard is sustainably farmed under Napa Green and Fish Friendly Farming certifications, with hand-tended vines, cover crops, ecological restoration, and long-standing vineyard stewardship by the Garcia family. The Calistoga site combines volcanic soils, varied microclimates, and diverse Bordeaux and Rhône plantings. Most fruit is sold to premium Napa producers, while a limited portion becomes estate wines. Winemaker Kent Jarman emphasizes low yields, careful block selection, native yeasts, hand-crafted cellar work, and French oak. The resulting wines are balanced and structured, with soft tannins and naturally higher acidity, designed to be approachable young yet capable of extended aging.
