Edouard Delaunay is a historic Burgundy house in Burgundy, revived in 2017 by Laurent Delaunay, great-grandson of the founder, and still family-owned. Led by Laurent with Catherine and Jeanne Delaunay, the maison combines long family roots in Burgundy with a precise, terroir-focused approach, working closely with growers, adapting vinification and ageing to each parcel, grape and vintage, and avoiding overt oak influence. Sustainability is a clear priority: the estate and its partner growers emphasize organic, low-intervention and in some cases biodynamic practices, supported by a broader STEP roadmap covering energy, water and packaging initiatives. The winery is based at the historic Château de Charmont, where much cellar work is done by hand using traditional methods.
