Producer

Domaine de la Butte

France

Domaine de la Butte is a family-run, family-owned estate in the Loire Valley led by Jacky Blot and his son Jean-Philippe Blot, who both serve as winemakers. Working with site-specific Cabernet Franc from south-facing limestone and clay-over-limestone slopes, the domaine focuses on old vines averaging more than 50 years of age. Farming is certified organic, and the approach in both vineyard and cellar is low-yield and minimal intervention, with blocked malolactic fermentation and no bâtonnage. The result is a producer defined by careful, sustainable viticulture and a clear emphasis on expressing site through Cabernet Franc.
