Domaine d'Eugénie

France

Domaine d'Eugénie is a Burgundy estate in Vosne-Romanée, created in 2006 when the Pinault family acquired the former René Engel estate. Owned by François Pinault and overseen by Frédéric Engerer, the domaine farms vineyards across several leading Côte de Nuits appellations, including Grand Cru sites such as Échezeaux, Grands-Échezeaux and Clos de Vougeot. The estate is committed to organic viticulture and biodynamic farming on several parcels, with practices including minimal chemical treatments, organic fertilizers, ploughing between rows, cover crops, hedges and careful canopy work. In the cellar, the focus is on precise parcel expression, with wooden vats and low-intervention vinification, including little or no added sulphur during fermentation. Michel Mallard is cited as the lead winemaker, with Jaeok Chu Cramette leading the estate team.
