Château Lynch-Moussas

France

Château Lynch-Moussas is a Grand Cru Classé estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, owned by the Castéja family since 1919 and now directed by Philippe Castéja. Its vineyards lie on Pauillac’s gravelly terraces, with additional Haut-Médoc parcels used for the second wine, Les Hauts de Lynch-Moussas. Plantings are led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot. The estate highlights respect for terroir, biodiversity, and the natural environment, though no formal organic or biodynamic certification is documented in the provided notes. Vineyard work includes manual techniques, with hand harvesting and parcel-by-parcel vinification in stainless steel, followed by ageing in French oak. Winemaking is overseen by Philippe Castéja with consultant support including Axel Marchal.
