Cantina di Montalcino

Italy

Cantina di Montalcino is a Montalcino winery in Tuscany, founded in 1970 by a small group of local growers as the area’s only cooperative cellar. After recent restructuring it is now owned by the Prosit group, but it still works with around 40 local families whose Sangiovese comes from all four quadrants of the Montalcino commune, drawing on varied pedoclimatic conditions. The estate is based in Val di Cava near Siena and is also noted for its distinctive architecture, included in the Toscana Wine Architecture circuit. Its range focuses on Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, and a Riserva.
