Alberto Orte is a Galician winemaker and co-founder of Olé & Obrigado, as well as co-owner of Cía. de Vinos del Atlántico with Patrick Mata. He works across vineyards in Jerez, Valdeorras, Yecla and Rioja, with a focus on modestly produced, site-driven wines and limited sherry. Sustainability is central to his approach: projects include certified organic farming, organic viticulture, cover crops to reduce erosion, low-yield vine management and the preservation of old clones and lesser-known grape varieties. Orte is the sole winemaker across the ranges, producing approximately 25,000 bottles of flagship wines annually alongside small quantities of Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Palo Cortado.
