Abrigo Giovanni

Italy

Abrigo Giovanni is a three-generation family estate in Diano d’Alba, Piedmont, founded in 1968 by Giovanni and Maria Abrigo and now run by Giorgio and Paola Abrigo with their oenology-trained sons Giulio and Sergio. The family cultivates vineyards across the Langhe, producing Barolo and other wines from Piedmont’s native varieties, alongside Piemonte IGP hazelnuts. Their approach is strongly territorial: vineyard parcels are farmed, vinified and aged separately to express each site’s character. Sustainability is central, with considered agriculture, recycling and reuse, and a 2019 cellar built with eco-friendly materials to reduce waste and emissions. The estate works within the UNESCO-protected Langhe landscape.
