Tommasi is a fourth-generation, family-owned Italian wine group founded in 1902 and operating under the Tommasi Family Estates brand. Its estates span six regions, including Tuscany, where vineyards sit at 480 metres on galestro, shale-clay and limestone soils. The group combines a broad regional presence with an emphasis on responsible farming and packaging, including low-impact spraying, organic fertilisation, drip irrigation, grass and legume cover crops, organically certified corks, lightweight bottles and recycled paper. Organic certification is noted for its Primitivo Puglia IGT. Giancarlo Tommasi is the principal winemaker, while Giampaolo Motta oversees La Massa’s Chianti Classico production.
