Producer

Storm Point

South Africa

Storm Point is a Swartland-based producer in South Africa’s Western Cape, owned by Vine Street Imports. Its wines are sourced from sustainable, dry-farmed, low-yielding vineyards on single sites in the Paardeberg, Malmesbury and Riebeek Valley. Winemaking emphasizes native spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, gentle pump-overs, natural malolactic fermentation and nine months’ maturation in tanks and neutral French barriques. The wines are bottled without fining, reflecting a minimally interventionist approach. Positioned as an entry-level value label for the U.S. market, Storm Point offers a site-focused expression of Swartland fruit.
