Springfield Estate is a family-run wine farm in Robertson, Western Cape, owned by the ninth-generation Bruwer descendants of French Huguenots and established there since 1898. Led by Abrie Bruwer, the estate focuses on single-vineyard wines that express individual terroirs through a minimal, hands-off approach. Winemaking uses natural wild yeasts, gravity flow, and unfiltered bottling, without pumps or presses. Organic soil management supports the estate’s sustainability efforts, although no formal certifications are reported. Its “Made on Honour” philosophy reflects a family-oriented operation dedicated to careful farming and natural winemaking.
