Mâcon-Uchizy

Pierre Meurgey is a fourth-generation, family-owned Burgundy producer operating a hybrid micro-negociant model under the Pierre Meurgey and Meurgey-Croses labels. As sole owner and winemaker, he oversees vineyard work from pruning through harvest. The wines draw on parcels across Burgundy and the Mâconnais, including old vines in Viré-Clessé, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé, with marl-limestone and clay-limestone soils among the sites. The estate emphasizes organic and biodynamic viticulture; Meurgey-Croses wines are certified organic and biodynamic. Limited production and hands-on ownership give the domaine a distinctly artisanal character.
