Ott

Austria

Bernhard Ott is a fourth-generation, family-owned estate in Feuersbrunn in Austria’s Wagram region, founded in 1889 and run by Bernhard Ott since 1993. A founding member of the Respekt biodynamic certification group, the estate farms biodynamically with dry farming, shallow plowing, composting, no irrigation, and 100% hand harvesting. In the cellar, Ott follows a low-intervention approach, using native yeasts, minimal sulfur, stainless steel and Stockinger fuder, while avoiding temperature control to limit malolactic fermentation. The estate works across sites including Feuersbrunner Rosenberg, Spiegel, and Engabrunner Stein.
