Orlando Abrigo

Orlando Abrigo is a family-run estate in Treiso, in Piedmont’s Barbaresco zone, rooted in a multigenerational farming history and now led by Giovanni Abrigo. The estate works its own vineyards in Treiso, including Meruzzano and Montersino, on high-altitude, south-facing limestone slopes that are steep enough to require entirely manual vineyard work. A member of FIVI, the winery vinifies and ages parcels separately, selecting the best lots to express each MGA. The gravity-flow cellar, built in 2013 and largely underground, was designed to preserve wine quality with low-impact architectural criteria. Winemaking emphasizes indigenous yeasts and gentle extraction, while the TEMPO project reflects the family’s focus on patience, maturity, and the aging potential of Langhe wines.
