Etienne Sauzet

France

Etienne Sauzet is a fourth-generation, family-owned owner-grower based in Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy. Founded by Etienne Sauzet in the early twentieth century, the domaine is now run by Emilie Sauzet (Boudot) and her husband Benoît Riffault, continuing the family lineage. Its vineyards are spread across Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Cormot-le-Grand. The estate has farmed organically since 2006 and biodynamically since 2010, with EU organic certification. Benoît Riffault leads the winemaking, with an approach centered on hand-crafted, chemical-free methods, low yields, hand harvesting and extended lees aging, reflecting a respectful, quality-focused Burgundian style.
